As a Venom fan myself I had some high and lows while watching the movie. However as we approach the release of the Venom 3 I have to worry about the movie’s potential.
Lack of Spider-Man Connection:
The first of these I have a major problem with is the lack of Spider-Man Venom is directly connected to Spider-Man and its therefore a let down that he has been omitted from this story.
Alright, Eddie Brock can fight, but there is so much just lost when most of the story centers around this comic book rivalry. They always leave me pondering how they would bring some of those aspects when the central driving force was missing.
Humor Overload😔:
While Eddie and Venom manage to have a buddy comedy thing going on for them at some point, it is seamlessly ridiculous most of the time. It becomes a fine line between the fun teasing or bickering and the joke that is cringe and at this point, it does the latter.
I think it only remains to wishes the filmmakers can get an even balance between the humorous slant and the gravity which the character requires.
Weak Villains😤:
From Let There Be Carnage they did not do justice to Carnage in a movie with a talented villain.
Unfortunately this is something that Venom 3 seems unable to offer a strong villain that is so vital for the movie to have a proper conflict. Eddie needs to be forced to do more than lift up his fists to confront the villain and defeat Venom as well.
🙃Conclusion : A Hope for Change:
As much as I am looking forward to what Venom 3 might bring to the plate, I can’t help but go into it with trepidation. But it has many barriers to climb to convince me and other fans like me.
I really hope it does shock us, to redefine our favorite characters in some new way. However, if it remains on this level, I worry that we will not be able to get our fill. Here’s looking forward to something special in a new release
